The Institute for Health and Bioeconomy i4HB kick-off meeting took place on December 19th at the Congress Centre of Instituto Superior Técnico.

Opening session

The i4HB kick-off meeting took place on 19th December gathering researchers from the 3 units that integrate the associate laboratory, Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences (iBB), Institute for System Engineering and Computers-Microsystems and Nanotechnologies (INESC.MN) and Applied Biomolecular Sciences Unit (UCIBIO).


The program of the meeting included sessions about the i4HB Thematic Lines (TL), in which the TL coordinators presented an overview of each TL and i4HB researchers presented scientific flash presentations with discussion.


Round table

There was a round table session dedicated to career development, organized by Raquel Aires Barros, João Pedro Conde, Ana Cecília Roque with the participation of the following i4HB researchers: Eurico Cabrita, Fábio Fernandes, Ângela Novais, Joana Fradinho and Sofia Abrunhosa.


During coffee-breaks and lunch there were poster sessions and time for networking.

The meeting ended with concluding remarks by the Directive Board members, Mário Nuno Berberan Santos, Maria João Romão, Paulo Freitas and Félix Carvalho.
